      Adding Disks in VMWare

      VM Disk Expansion

      1. Login to the ESXi Console.
      2. Select the VM where we wish to add the disk.
      3. You should see an ‘Edit’ icon at the top of the screen. Click on it to get started 

      4. Select “Add new hard disk” to add the new disk.

      5. Fill in the required information. Refer to the below recommendations from Panzura.

        • Type: Thick Provision Lazy Zeroed
        • Sharing: No Sharing
        • Disk Mode: Independent - Persistent
        • Disk Sizes: 128GB to 1024GB - Default

      6.   Re-verify the settings and hit save.

      7.   Follow Steps 3-5 to add more disks.
